Fredbear biting The Crying Child, killing him.
The Bite of '83 is an event that occurred in Fredbear's Family Diner, the same restaurant that is in the FNAF 4 minigames. The event occurred after Michael Afton and his friends force his little brother (aka the Crying Child) into Fredbear's mouth. Fredbear continued to perform and bit down on the head of the Crying Child when closing his jaw, killing him. The event is commonly mistaken with the Bite of '87.

- It's been speculated that the Crying Child survived the bite

- This was thought to be the Bite of '87 by some before the release of FNaF 4 and up to the release of Sister Location.
- This theory was disproven when the TV show seen in the FNaF 4 minigames proved that the bite had taken place in '83.
