General Rules and Guidelines[]
- This is a Fandom wiki, and as such all users are required to follow Fandom's ToS alongside our own rules.
- Do not vandalize or spam anywhere on the wiki.
- This includes, but is not limited to, posting gibberish, comments unrelated to the topic of the article, chain messages, copy-pastas, roleplays or fanart in article comments (including incorrect quotes), and huge blocks of text that are unrelated to the wiki.
- This also includes making unnecessary, unrelated, or duplicate pages as well as exploiting functions including Report.
- Do not exploit the Leaderboard or achievements.
- An example of this would be making unnecessary edits such as adding spaces or removing and readding pictures to articles.
- Do not plagiarize text from other wikis or websites.
- If you are paraphrasing or quoting information, add a proper reference.
- Information quoted directly from a Five Nights at Freddy's game does not need a citation.
- Do not edit another users' profiles, unless given permission.
- If a users' profile breaks the rules, please report it to an admin, who may edit it.
- Be respectful to other users.
- Do not harass, bully, or flame-bait anyone, or use slurs or swears directed towards another user.
- Responding to flame-bait with harassment will result in a warning to both parties.
- Do not harass, bully, or flame-bait anyone, or use slurs or swears directed towards another user.
- You are allowed to swear in the forums of this wiki, as long as it is not directed towards another user. Don't swear excessively.
- Do not use obscene language in articles or article comments, unless it is a direct quote.
- Do not use crude terms/language or slurs anywhere.
- Do not advertise things unrelated to FNaF in forums, articles, or comment sections.
- Do not add duplicate links to articles.
- Links in infoboxes and redirects do not count.
- Do not post explicit, inappropriate, highly sexual material or gore anywhere on the wiki.
- This includes sexualizing/simping on characters who are children, or animatronics possessed by children, or shipping family members or children (excluding canon relationships and marriages). These are all disgusting.
- Users without a staff position should not give warnings to other users. Friendly advice and tips are one thing, but only staff members may give out warnings.
- Do not remove warnings from your message wall; such actions will extend your ban.
- Do not bear false confirmed information.
- Do not add unconfirmed information to pages.
- This includes, but is not limited to, debated animatronic genders, opinionated/incorrect info unless said otherwise, etc.
- Popular theories are exempt from this rule, though they must be explicitly stated to be theories.
- Please limit information from the other Five Nights at Freddy's games.
- This is an English wiki. Please keep/translate all comments, posts, and pages into English. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.
Uploading Files[]
- Do not upload anything that is not going to be used in an article.
- This includes fan art and other similar works.
- Do not upload duplicate or low-quality files.
- This includes screencaps of gameplay videos as in-game screenshots are much cleaner.
- Do not upload files with streamer faces in them.
Editing Rules and Guidelines[]
- Remain objective - use "the player", not "you".
- Do your best to keep any abbreviations that may be used consistent.
- For example, we abbreviate Five Nights at Freddy's as FNaF. Simply follow suit!
- Do not add superfluous additions to articles.
- Keep your theories to the comment section, blog posts, and the forum.
- This also goes for indirectly trying to disprove theories. Keep your opinions to yourself.
- Do not add unnecessary categories to articles.
- Do not add categories to your profile, or blog posts.
- If an animatronics gender is not confirmed, do not debate with other users about it.
- You may give your own opinions in blog posts, comments, or the forum, but posts may be locked or deleted if arguments arise.
- Keep these characters' genders as "Debatable" in their respective articles.
- If you see a page with outdated or missing information that you can add or fix, please add it rather than complaining about it in the comments. (This doesn't apply to locked pages.)
- Example: "This (unlocked) page has a grammar error!" That's nice, go fix it instead of telling everyone.
Forum Rules and Guidelines[]
- All wiki rules and guidelines apply to the forums.
- If you see content that breaks the wiki rules, or if a dispute gets out of hand, please report the post in question and tell an active admin as soon as possible.
- When possible, resolve disputes by yourself. Avoid adding to a problematic situation by arguing, making a big deal out of it, calling names, and so forth. Doing so may land you in trouble as well.
- Keep roleplaying to the forum or message walls.
- Do not preform any acts of metagaming, godmodding, puppeteering, or similar actions.
- Do not use Five Nights at F***boy's as a theme for roleplay as the content of those games violate Fandom's Terms of Use.
Block & Ban Guidelines[]
Breaking a wiki rule will generally result in a Warning. Admins give bans at their discretion but follow these guidelines.
Note: In some cases, the offense may be so serious that Warnings and lighter bans may be skipped and the offending user may be given a heavier ban. It should also be noted that, should the majority of an account's activity be nothing more than spam, advertising, or some other form of disruptive behavior, admins reserve the right to give an infinite ban without warning as the account is clearly only here to be disruptive. Additionally, some of the rules here are guidelines, so depending on the rule, you may not recieve a warning unless you are repeatedly breaking the rule. Again, this is up to admin discretion.
- First Warning: Reminder
- Second Warning: 24 hour ban.
- Third Warning: 1 week ban.
- Fourth Warning: 2 week ban.
- Fifth Warning: 1 month ban.
- Sixth Warning: Infinite ban.
Vandalism will land you an instant permanent ban.
Note: Warnings expire 6 months after they are given, and become no longer counted against a block or ban. However, if a warning expires while a user is blocked or banned, their block/ban time will not be decreased.
